Last Saturday we went out with my parents to this great place on the Parramatta river. It is called the Armoury cafe and it is on the site of an old armoury. They have developed a lot of the grounds in to parkland with lots of bike and walking tracks. There were heaps of people out enjoying the sunshine.
My mum has been very sick with the flu and this was her first day out for 3 weeks. Was a great chance to catch up and enjoy the sunshine. And the delicious food of course hehe
Sorry, no sewing pics, only thing I have been sewing is my caravan curtains - very boring!

Sitting outside eating, and wearing short sleeves, does that really count as winter?? I'll take that winter any day!! I guess that means snow and ice is not typical in Sydney?
Looks like a beautiful place to go! Glad you've been enjoying the sun!

I used to live just across the river from the armory. It is one of Sydneys best kept secrets. I went there a few months ago with my daughters for last years year 12 art exhibition and I was truly inspired.
Hope your mum is feeling better.
