High Tea on the Harbour

All the staff from all the clinics that our company runs usually get taken out for  nice meal near the end of the year. For something different this year we did a High Tea on Sydney Harbour. It was a beautiful sunny day, which is when the harbour looks best. There was a huge cruise ship docked at the International Terminal as well so was good to have a bit of a look at that.
The High Tea was beautiful, although there was much more sweet than savoury and I think I had a sugar high that night and the next day had a massive headache from coming down off the sugar high LOL. I never thought I would be saying I wish there was more savoury foods! Just goes to show that when you cut out sugar you
how much it affects you when you have it again. But it was lovely catching up with all the staff that we manage from our office but we don't get to see face to face very often.

50 years !!

On 10th November we celebrated my parent's 50th wedding anniversary - what an achievement!!!
We had a great night out at a local Italian restaurant with close family and friends.

Thank you to those who came and shared the evening with us. My parents are now in Hawaii for their actual anniversary!

Holiday Part 2...

We headed up the coast to Bargara for a few days to catch up with the lovely Diana who wasn't able to make it to retreat this year. I have never been past Noosa so it was nice to see another part of our country. This place is gorgeous!! I will definitely be going back there!! Here is the view from our apartment...
Jolene & Marilyn showed us how to make S/mores!!
Some pics out and about in Bargara...

So it is that time of year again for our online Yahoo group's annual retreat! So was able to take a break from the packing and renovating and head to Brisbane to spend 10 days with some very special friends. We had Marilyn come from the States with her daughter Jolene and Jenny & Sharon from NZ. It was great to meet these ladies that I have been chatting to online for quite a few years......and they are all as nice as I thought they would be!!

From Brisbane we headed up to beautiful Montville where we did a spot of shopping (some more than others!)

Of course there was a bit of food involved too! This  pie (Beef & Guinness - YUM) was at dinner that night in the pub in Maleny. Two of us ordered this and we seriously could have shared one meal and still had left overs!!

A SHARED dessert at lunch time ...

And of course the next day we had to introduce our American friends to Meat Pies with mushy peas!
Stay tuned!! Anita
