Lovely day in the Blue Mountains

Yesterday Craig & I had a day out to the Blue Mountains which start about half an hour from our place. We drove to Katoomba which is one of the highest points up in the mountains ( I think!) and had lunch there. Katoomba is a really old town but is very popular with the tourists. Many people go to Katoomba for the weekend from the city. It is very cold there in winter and often snows there in winter. It was quite cold up there yesterday too! We had lunch in a cafe that we have always wanted to go to as it has kept a lot of it's original art deco from the 1920's.We had a lovely lunch of chicken pot pies with mashed potato and mushy peas!!! It was very nice but don't think we will go there again as it was quite expensive.

We then took a drive to a look out of the Grose Valley, a place we have never been before. It was drizzling a bit there and was freezing!!!

After this we drove back down the mountains a bit and took a 20klm 4wd track to a lookout over the Water Catchment Area. It was then an 800m walk to the lookout, the weather had cleared up a bit now. It was very refreshing to breathe the fresh mountain air!!!!

I've been tagged!

I have been tagged by Khris of Sew Prim Friends to tell you all something about myself that starts with the letters in my first name. So here goes.

A - Avid reader. I just love reading!!
N - Never tidy! I have realised that I will never be a neat freak so I may as well stop stressing about it LOL
I - Insulin Resistant. The medical condition that I was diagnosed with last year.
T - Time poor. This is me at the moment. I am working almost full time to make up for hubby being out of work for so long and it is really taking a toll on me not getting things done that I want to do eg my crafting!
A - Australian at Heart. I was born in the UK but came here at the age of 2 so I have never considered myself an English person, I am and will always be an Aussie.

I have decided not to tag anyone with this as I don't know many people in blogland yet!!

I have to also admit that I am not very good at this blogging thing!! It has been a while since I posted last but I think it is just because I have nothing interesting to post LOL All I have been doing is working at work and working at home LOL

Today is my youngest sons 18th birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM!!
So we have had to milestone birthdays recently, 21 & 18. We bought him a power drill for his birthday as he needs one for his new job. He is like Tim Allen in Home Improvement, grunting about power tools LOL. When he took the drill out of the case he was smelling it and saying - smell that raw power LOL LOL. He is a real blokes bloke.
