My poor baby!!

Yes that is the number plate off my car!!

Craig was coming home last night and a young P plater pulled out from a stop sign into his path. Fortunatley no one was hurt as Craig was turning too and so was not going too fast. The young guy has no insurance (very irresponsible) so we will have to claim against our insurance. Craig said he told the guy that I would not be happy as this car was my baby LOL

The more annoying thing is the inconvenience, Nathan starts a course next week so 3 of us will be trying to work around 1 car. GRRRRR - not happy Jan.

Holiday Friday!

So it is Good Friday today and I am so looking to having today and Monday off work! Unfortunately Craig only has today off and is working for the rest of the weekend. Had a much needed sleep in and then we went for a late lunch to a new restaurant near us Pancakes on the Rocks. It was originally a restaurant in the beautiful Rocks area of Sydney but has opened up a few restaurants in the outlying areas. So that was really yum!

We then went for a drive to a lookout about 40 mins from here and this was the view

Can you believe it!!! This was all we could see!! LOL. The fog had come in and we couldn't see a thing! Normally you would be able to see this extremely expansive valley and water catchment area, but today NOTHING!! We had a good laugh as did everyone who drove up.

So then we drove home the scenic way and checked out some new land releases in semi rural areas. Would love to live somewhere like that one day but not while I am working. Would add so much more time to my commute. One day maybe!

I also received 2 parcels in the mail this week. One was my Spring Swap from Shirley in the UK.

In the parcel there was some fabric, some beads and some stamping supplies - great pics Shirley, thanks heaps! OH and some choccies of course!!!

And the second parcel was from Tammy for my birthday, I love the blue in them, kind of a royal blue, much nicer than in the pic.

Tomorrow I plan on doing some organising of my stash. I bought some new plastic crates that roll under the bed, unfortunately I don't have a craft room so that is where I must keep my stash. I'm sure I will have no trouble in filling them up LOL

Enjoy your Easter everyone!!!

Pretend it is the 14th today!!

So I am a day late posting for the 14th of the month, but hey I only found out about it today!

Anywhere here goes:Alarm goes off at 6.30am but didn't get up until 6.45. Went out side and this was the view that greeted me - sunrise over suburbia!!
Put a load of washing on then jumped in the shower. Had my breaky of 2 boiled eggs and 1 piece of grain toast. I am trying to get back into my eggs for breaky instead of the high carb cereals.
Hung the load of washing out then got ready for work and left at 8am. Stopped at the Post office on the way to work as some models had arrived from the US.
Got to work at 9am and then did my work stuff , fortunately the phone was pretty quiet today. Went for a little walk at lunch time and bought a salmon & salad lebanese wrap for lunch.
Finished my work in the afternoon, trying to get everything finalised as we are changing over to a new computer program on Monday. For those of you who don't know, I work in the head office of a medical practice. We are a diagnostic centre for women's incontinence issues. In my office we take all the bookings for our 7 clinics, do all the accounts and Medicare billing for the patients form all clinics. So basically the hub of our company. I work MOnday, Weds, Thurs & every other Friday. I work on my own except for Monday when I work with Laurel, who I job share with.
Got home at 5.30pm, Craig working until 7pm, Nathan helps out at kids club on Friday arvos then stays there for youth group so he wasn't home, Tim was home but was going out to youth group. So he got his own dinner and I would have dinner with Craig when he got home. I don't often cook on Friday nights so after I picked Craig up from the station, we went and picked up take away from the Italian place, veal with dianne sauce and steamed veges. It was delicious! Spent the rest of the evening relaxing on the lounge with my laptop and watching Flight Plan with Jodie Foster.
Nathan came home about 11pm and we had a discussion about Centrelink ( he is learning about dealing with a government dept LOL) then went to bed.
So that was my day, pretty boring!!

A Day in My Life

I have decided to join in Little Jenny Wren and post about my day on the 14th day ofevery month. My day will not be as exciting as some as I have to go to work most of the time but it will give you a bit of insight into my days, - most of you probably couldn't care less LOL

A Very Delayed Blog Update

I am so slack, just realised how long it has been since I have posted!

The last few weekends I have been able to do a bit of sewing ( just closed my eyes to the cleaning that needed doing LOL).

But first here is a pic of a Bunny made for me by Karen Mallory for aFriendship Swap in our yahoo group. It is a Sweet Meadows Farm pattern. She has done a really great job and I love it!

Thanks Karen!

Next is a pic of some blocks I have been making. They are made from Homespun Plaid fabrics and seeded muslin. They are made using Triangulations paper. What a wonderful discovery! Here is a pic of the Triangulations paper. You put your 2 peices of fabric right sides together and then pin the paper to the top.

You then sew on the dotted lines...
and then you cut on the solid lines. You end up with 2 triangles sewn together and then you sew 2 of those together to get half square triangles.

Next pic is a sneaky peek at what I am making for my partner in the Friendship swap.
It is all finished and will be posted off to the Netherlands this week.
