The weekend
Our weekend involved the use of this excavator as well as lots of digging and shoveling. Lots of progress was made though which was good.

Stitching with Friends
2 weeks ago I had a stitching day here with some local friends, it was a nice few hours just to sit and chat and do some hand stitching.
SandyN, Karen & Robyn...
I worked on some of my BOM paper piecing..
and I finished this cushion cover, it now has an insert. I made it for the lounge but am thinking it will look nice on my bed!
We are hoping to get together once a month, athough I am starting to pack up all my sewing stuff as we get our house ready to put on the market.

Catch Up
As usual I have been very slack in letting you know what I have been up to!! About 3 weeks ago I had the pleasure of going to Nundle again for one of Kerry's quilting retreats with some of my special blogging friends.
Poor Cardy couldn't come at the last minute as she was having woes from prospective home buyers but her replacement came along and had a great time!
She was also joined by Peg & Dale those chooks that keep showing up everywhere!!
Now to the quilts. Everyone had a different quilt to make, some got further than others, but everyone sewed their little hearts out all weekend!
I didn't get a top finished as I was talked into trying a Quilt As You Go quilt which meant trying Free Motion Quilting for the first time! So my quilt is still in blocks and panels waiting to be put together, but at least it is nearly all quilted!! This is the quilt I am making - photo courtesy of Kerry's blog.
Sandy and the quilt for her dad...
Trish and her Star quilt....
Belinda's quilt on the design wall...
Chooky's gorgeous quilt blocks...
Part of Lea's baby quilt...also Quilt As You Go...
And Trish showed us how to make these cute flower brooches...
Randoms....
Kerry has such a lovely location...
Thanks for a fabulous weekend ladies!!!
I left very early in the morning and we had a heavy frost and some areas were very foggy. As I came over the bridge at Windsor you couldn't see the river for the fog then as I started my drive through the turf farms there was a glow in the fog - it was the sun rising - quite spectacular!!
