So Far This Month

So this month has been quite eventful. We attended the wedding of our friend's daughter down the coast. She had always wanted a beach wedding and planned a beautiful location, only to have the worst weather!! It was raining and cool!! But the reception place let them have the ceremony inside and that was right on the beach. Just through those glass windows is the beach so it did make a lovely backdrop.

Craig & I treated ourselves to a night at the Novotel just down the road from the wedding, which was nice. We got upgraded to a lovely Ocean view room, shame the sun wasn't out!! 

They did manage to get some pics after the service as the rain held off for an hour or so.

And what would one of my blog posts be without a food pic!

I also caught up with an old friend and we enjoyed a lovely lunch by the beach near her home. We have been friends since we were 7!! We don't see each other often but just pick up right where we left off.

And the biggest thing that happened this month is that we FINALLY FOUND A HOUSE!! After week in week out looking at houses it was becoming a bit frustrating. but we knew the right house was out there somewhere! We looked at it late last Saturday afternoon and signed the contracts and paid the deposit that evening!! It needs a bit of a freshen up but is in pretty good condition and needs no major improvements like kitchens or bathrooms.......just needs a bit of a paint and a tidy up of the gardens...oh and some carpet in the bedrooms, it has this horrible parquetry flooring  which will be coming up as soon as possible and carpet laid. I didn't get a sewing room unfortunately but I get a sewing "space". Which means I have to keep it tidy as there is no door to close on the mess LOL

So now fingers crossed all goes well with the building inspections and most importantly the loan approval! lol
