Well back in May ( when I was feeling so ill I should have just stayed at home!) Craig & I had a weekend in Canberra. We stayed in a lovely hotel, visited the National Museum of Australia and the War Memorial and also spent a day with my brother and his family.

A retro pig!! I think it was made in 1946:

One of the many amazing dioramas:
The toilet of a submarine - I am just over 5ft and I couldn't sit up straight, would hate to think how awful it would be for a tall man!

missed you so nice to see you back here........would love to get back to Canberra......
Lovely photos of your trip. I would love to go back to Canberra. Lots of historical things to see & do.
So glad to hear someone else has had a blogging/sewing drought. It must have something to do with this cold that you have so generously given to me over the net. LOL! I feel like doing nothing.
LOL...can you imagine Glen at 6'4" in that toilet...LMAO...Khris
You cant go to Canberra without a trip to the war memorial.. a must. I could spend hours there and always do. Despite all the soldiers have gone through I still find it a serene place.
Take care
Shelley
BTW the High Tea looked amazing. I have always wanted to go there and enjoy the experience myself...just dont have the bank account to back it up.
