Airing of the Quilts - Braidwood

Last Saturday my darling husband drove me over 2 hours to a little country town called Braidwood for the annual Airing of the Quilts. It was spectacular to see all the gorgeous quilts hanging from the buildings.

Here is a link to my web album of all the pics but below are a few of my favourites.

This next one was hanging on the front of a fire engine at the fire station. Each block was made by a member of the fire department. It was fantastic!

Looks like a great quilt festival! It is sorta of what the Sisters, Oregon show looked like. All the quilts hanging from buildings!

Thnaks for all this pics. What a great idea to show all this quilts from the buildings. This will not be possible here in Germany, I think. Perhaps someday.
